#FitFebruary Day 4

"This weekend was like going back to school, to a chiropractor, and a therapist all in one." Today was the final day of my first module towards my 500hr certification. 27 hours down, a lifetime to go. This yoga journey reminds us that the more we learn, the less we know. Such a humbling experience. The last thing we did as a group was sit in a circle and discussed what we learned. My response was that this weekend was like going back to school, to a chiropractor, and a therapist. I feel more balanced and clear than I have in a long time. It's crazy how much support you can find in a group of strangers.

Today, I don't want the focus to be on food or physical fitness. When working my brain like the muscle it is, my thoughts become more in-depth and focused. The theme throughout the weekend was separating the masculine and feminine energies that live in us all and learning how to use them for strength in every aspect in life. I process a good amount of masculine energy when it comes to planning and check lists. I like to know everything is taken care of and under control. My intention, as I mentioned in my last post, is to tap into the feminine - trust the process and see where the universe takes me. In my practice, to find the strength while keeping it soft. I want this to be the message I share with my students and with the world. We could all use more balance.

I took this picture tonight as the sun set in the most beautiful way and it reminded me of my new mission. Without being told what to do, the sun will rise and then will set. The universe is a perfect reminder that when you slow down, you'll find beauty everywhere.
